Shane Stone is a former primary school teacher, barrister and Member of Parliament. Since retiring from parliamentary politics in 1999 he has served as a director of public and private companies in Australia and the UK including Mayfair Limited (Anne Street Partners Financial Services and QNV Constructions) and iEC. He is also Deputy Chairman of UK listed Impellam plc and Chairman of Impellam subsidiaries in Australia – Medacs and Commensura. Also formerly Thiess Australia and PT Thiess Indonesia.

He is also the owner and Executive Chairman of the APAC Group of companies.

He is an alumnus of Australian National University, Melbourne Law School, Adelaide and Sturt Universities and a former Visiting Fellow Cambridge University; Life Member and Fellow of the Australian College of Educators. Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and also the Australian Institute of Management Formerly barrister in Victoria and NSW, Legal Practitioner and Attorney General (NT). Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and Honorary Life Member of LAWASIA. He is a former Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister NT (1990-1999) and Federal President Liberal Party of Australia (1999-2005). Former National President of the Order of Australia Association, National Chairman Reserve Force Defence Council and director Australian Children’s Television Foundation.

Current Chairman Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia. Active Navy Reservist, Head of Navy Legal Panel NT and Northern West Australia. Appointed Chairman of Northern Australian Advisory Group by Prime Minister Abbott June 2014.

Recipient of the Companion of the Order of Australia, Bintang Jasa Pratama (Order of Service Republic of Indonesia) and Panglima Gemilang Dariah Kinabalu (Commander Most Illustrious Order of Kinabalu Sabah Malaysia). Married with 2 adult children he is a resident of Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Sandra Nori is a former Minister for NSW and was a member of NSW Parliament from 1988-2007. She held portfolios in Tourism, Small Business, Sport & Recreation, Major Events & Venues, and Women. Sandra was also an Assistant Minister for State Development. Currently Sandra is a directory of Komosion Pty Ltd and was previously Chairperson. She was a Board member of NSW TAFE Commission from 2008-2013 and is a member of Macquarie University Council. Sandra also sits on the Advisory Board of Luxury Travel Magazine and is a nationally accredited mediator. Sandra is a Board appointed director.

 Thomas MOULD – SECRETARY & TREASURER

Tom is Managing Director of the Trade Glass Depot group of companies. He also serves as a non-executive director for a number of companies in the construction, education services and property development industries. He has worked in both the Public Sector (25 years) and the Private Sector (12 years).  He was formerly Assistant Director General of Education in Queensland.  Tom is a Board appointed director.

 

 

Cameron SMART

Cameron Smart has 30 successful years of experience in the commercial property industry. Cameron began his career as a property valuer. He has worked with Richard Stanton & Sons and Landsbury International (of which he was a founder), as well as beeng responsible for investment sales and acquisitions for and on behalf of high net worth individuals, property trusts and institutions. Cameron has guided the investment and development strategies of some of Australia’s leading institutions, in particular the Uniting Church in Australia. Cameron has been an active committee member of BOMA, as a non-executive Director of the Uniting Church Trust Association, and has served on School Councils, The Board of Education, and Burnside Home.

  

Jeff WRIGHT

Jeff Wright is a Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Corporate Solutions of the NT based banking and insurance entity, the Territory Insurance Office. He is also Chairman of the NT Division of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. In addition to 30 years in the finance industry, Jeff has also worked in the tertiary education sector for the last ten years. Jeff is appointed as the nominee of the Northern Territory Board.

 

Rae-Maree POWELL

Education, B SC., Grad Dip. Ed.

 

Rae-Maree is the Principal Consultant for UXC Consulting, specialising in IT Service Management. She has 20 years of experience teaching Information Technology across schools in different states/territories, as well as 15 years of experience in the corporate IT industry. As a former Army Cadet Officer whilst teaching she also for the Award Leaderfor The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for a 10 year period. Rae-Maree is a former Venturer Leader with Scouts Australia ACT and is currently a member of St Johns Ambulance Australia, ACT where she is the Training Officer for the Namadgi Event Health Services (volunteer) Division and the commercial trainer for St John Ambulance. Rae-Maree is the Chairperson for the ACT Division of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia and is appointed as the nominee of the national Board.

 

Peter DALKIN

B Sc., BA

Peter Dalkin has 30 years of experience with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade during which time he worked as an SES Officer in many countries. Peter is also the former CEO of the Australian Gas Association.. Peter has language qualifications in French and Indonesian and was a former Lieutenant. He associates himself with the outdoors and is an active outdoor adventurer, sports person and sailor. Since his retirement, Peter has focussed his attention to the development of young people in Tasmania and was subsequently appointed as the Chairperson for TAS Division of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia.

 

Rosemary DAVIS

Rosemary is the Director of Commercial Services for Sport and Recreation in NSW with over 30 years’ expertise in the government sector of NSW education. She was formerly the Curriculum Manager for the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and was also the Assistant Director of Curriculum in the Department of Education and Training for government schools K-12. At an international level, she has managed the development of nine Abu Dhabi Curriculum subjects in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Recognised for their excellence, these are now taught in all seven Emirates in the UAE. A high-level spokesperson and strategist, Rosemary is a passionate advocate of education, community health, physical activity and sport. Rosemary is the Nominee of the NSW Government (licence holder) to the national Board.

 

Robert FIEDLER

Rob is the Chairperson of the QLD Division for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia. Rob is also the CEO of Police-Citizens Youth Club Queensland (PCYCQ) and a serving Police Officer in the Queensland Police Service. In his role as CEO of PCYC QLD, Rob has promoted the Award to the 54 PCYCs operating across Queensland with 30 branches now delivering the program including in rural and remote areas of the State. PCYC is recognised as a leading youth development organisation in Queensland with responsibility to deliver National Youth Week events, PCYC Emergency Service Cadets and Indigenous Community Sport and Recreation Programs on behalf of the State Government. Rob until recently has served as the Chairperson of Queensland Youth Alliance for seven years and was on the Government’s Youth Violence Task Force. Rob is the Nominee of the Queensland Government (licence holder) to the national Board.

 

Gregory STAGBOUER

Greg is the Chair for the WA division of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia. Greg has been a WA Board member from 1995 through to 2007 and then from 2009 to now. Greg has achieved the Gold Award and became an Award Ambassador in 2012. As a Wing Commander with the Australian Air Force Cadets, Greg has previously been both the WA and National Award Coordinator and currently leads the National Safety and Risk Team. He is also Vice Chair for the Safety Institute of Australia College of Fellows. Greg is currently Principal Consultant at Merido Solutions. Greg is the Nominee of the WA Board to the national Board.
